Bedside Cot Reviews

A bedside crib (also known as a bassinet) is located next to your bed, so you can be able to provide care to baby during night feeds and diaper changes without having to get out of the bed. They are also ideal for developing independence as your little one becomes more confident in their own sleep space.

The Joie Roomie Glide

The Joie Roomie Glide is a bedside crib that lets parents sleep with their infant while ensuring they're sleeping safely. Its smooth gliding motion helps to ease your baby back to sleep, and its ingenuous features let you monitor them without leaving your bed.

The cot's slide-away side panel lifts and lowers with the push of an button, making it simple to reach in and soothe a baby in the night. It comes with 11 height adjustments to fit almost any mattress size. It also has adjustable folding feet that ensure it's at the correct level.

In terms of safety the cot is padded and fitted with mesh sides to provide more airflow, and the mattress is made of high-density foam for additional protection. It's also washable to keep it clean. Additionally, it is fitted with a sheet that's suitable for use with the cot.

Unlike some other bedside cribs, the Roomie Glide is suitable for all beds, including divans thanks to its straps and clip attachment. It can also be used as a stand-alone crib if it is not attached to the bed. It's packed with amazing features that were created with the bonding of parents and children in mind.

One thing to keep in mind is that even though this crib is perfect for infants, it will not last long after your child is six months old, and you will have to purchase larger cots. Overall, Roanna thought that the Joie Roomie Glide crib was a great buy. She was impressed by its sleek design.

John Lewis sells the Roomie Glide for PS160. Roanna thought this was a reasonable price for a cot. She liked how it was positioned in her bedroom and believed the grey color would work in the majority of modern homes. She did point out that it's not a good idea to rock a baby when it's younger as it can create an unhealthy sleep pattern that can be difficult to overcome later.

The Tutti Bambini CoZee

The Tutti Bambini CoZee bedside crib is designed to provide an uninterrupted night's sleep. It has a drop side rail which can be easily removed for feedings at night without having to wake your child or get out of bed - it's ideal for breastfeeding mothers! It's also light, making it easy to move around the house during naps and for travelling.

We love the fact that it's made of soft materials that have breathable mesh sides that promote airflow and comfort. It's available in charcoal and oak, with a range of melange fabric options that are compatible with all decor styles. Anna found it to be sturdy and secure when attached to her bed with the legs securely snapping into the frame and the zips securely secured to ensure baby safety. It took Anna around 10 minutes to put it together and didn't require any tools. There are  bedside cosleeper  with a video and customer service number should you experience any issues.

As well as the usual features you'd expect from a bedside crib such as the ability to be connected to your existing bed with a stay-in-place connector system and six height levels The CoZee also comes with an additional incline option which can be used to ease reflux or congestion in babies. It is also machine-washable - a must for all the dribbles and snot that accompany a new baby!

If you're looking to keep your baby close during the first six months of their life when they're learning to sleep independently The CoZee is a great option because it can be used as a separate cot, changing table and toddler bed. It can be turned into a sofa bed with the addition of an extension pack. While  bedside co sleeper  won't magically make your baby sleep or feed them, it will rock them and send them off.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic

This is one of Chicco's more expensive options. However, it has numerous excellent features. It's designed to be used as a side sleeper or standalone crib, and is suitable from birth to six months. It features a brand new mechanism for opening and closing the side panel and is simple to use even with one hand. It is also more adjustable than its predecessor, having 11 different height settings as well as retractable legs for a secure place under any bed.

Our testers appreciated the ease of access provided by the side panel, that can be moved up and downwards with just a single push of a switch. This was a huge help during night time feeds, as it meant they could easily reach in and take their baby away without waking them up.

It is possible to lower the side panel by itself but this is not advised, since it increases the likelihood that your child will be thrown out of the cot. The patented safety locking system guarantees that the side panel will only remain in place when it is attached correctly to the parent's mattress. This is a wonderful feature to have for peace of mind, especially in the case of breastfeeding and frequent night feeds.

The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to work with any bed that is divan-based as well as beds with drawers, thanks to the legs that can be telescopic. It also comes with a tilting function to help babies who are refluxy and a rocking mode that can help them sleep after feeding. It's also extremely spacious and provides excellent ventilation due to its mesh sides.

Our test participants found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, though it does have quite lengthy instructions. It's heavier than some of the other side-sleepers, but it's quite portable and can be moved from room room with ease. It's also able to fold into a travel bag which is great if you want to transport it. The only downside our testers found was that the side panel didn't flex like some of the other models, which made it difficult to see your baby from your own bed.

The Shnuggle Air

The Shnuggle Air bedside crib is a great choice if you want an infant crib that will grow with your child. It's a crib for co-sleeping that is securely attached to your bed and can be transformed into a chic cot when your baby is old enough. Perfect for nighttime feedings and strengthening the bond you have with your newborn.

In contrast to other cribs for bed, the Shnuggle Air is built with breathability in mind. Its dual-view mesh sides as well as airflow mattress that is breathable and hypoallergenic maximize airflow to keep your baby cool and comfortable. The gentle slope helps ease reflux and colic. The zip-down side lets you to feed your baby or soothe them during the night.

The cot conversion kit (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear directions and everything you require to get started. It took us about an hour to put together and was reasonably straightforward. The only downside to the instructions was that certain images did not have captions. This made it difficult for us to follow. However, overall it was a straightforward procedure and the quality of materials used was high.

In the co-sleeping mode, we found the Shnuggle Air to be an excellent choice for breastfeeding mums and women who have had a c-section since it allows them to easily reach out to their newborn for feeding and comfort without having to climb out of their bed. It's also great for those who wish to avoid the hassle of getting in and out of a traditional cot, or placing their child down for a nap.

In our tests, we found the gliding motion of this next-to-me crib to be particularly useful in helping babies fall asleep after midday and nighttime feeds. The drop-down side can also be easily accessible to feed or calm babies in the middle of the night and was a major draw for our exhausted test mums. Although it doesn't rock, or come with extra features like a sound machine the Joie Roomie Glide's elegant design and practicality make it a great addition to our top crib reviews for bed.
