The Tutti Bambini CoZee is an award-winning crib for bed designed with a secure night's rest in mind. It has a drop-side rail that can be easily lowered to feed your baby at night without having to wake your child or get out of bed - it's ideal for mothers who are breastfeeding! It's also lightweight, which makes it easy to move around the house during naps and for travelling.
It's made of soft materials and has mesh sides that are breathable to help promote airflow. It comes in charcoal or oak with various melange fabrics that can be incorporated with all styles of decor. Anna found it to be sturdy and secure once attached to her bed. The legs slid into place and the zippers were secure for safety. It took Anna around 10 minutes to put together and didn't require any tools. There are clear instructions, a video and a customer support number in case you have any problems.
In addition to the standard features you'd expect from a crib for your bed that include the ability to be connected to your existing bed using a stay-in-place connection system and six levels of height The CoZee also comes with an additional incline option which can be used to help ease reflux or congestion in infants. It can also be washed in the machine - a must for all the dribbles and snot that come with a newborn baby!
If you're looking to keep your baby close to you during the first six months when they're able to go to sleep on their own, the CoZee is a great choice as it can also be used as a stand-alone crib, changing table and toddler bed. With the addition of a sofa-bed extension kit, it can be converted into an actual cot. While it won't be able to magically put your baby to sleep or feed them, it will rock the baby and take them to school.
The Chicco Next2Me Magic
This is one of Chicco's more expensive alternatives. It does have a lot of great features. It can be used either a side-sleeper, or a standalone crib, and is suitable for infants from birth to six months. It's easy to open and close the side panel with a new mechanism. It is also more adjustable than the predecessor, with 11 different height settings and retractable legs for a secure installation underneath any bed.
Our testers were impressed with the simple access to the side panel that can be flipped up and down with just one push of one button. This was particularly useful at night, as they could reach inside and pick up their baby without disturbing them up.
It is possible to lower the side panel it's own, however this is not advised, because it increases the chance that your baby will be thrown out of the cot. But, the patented safety locking mechanism means that it can only remain in place if it is connected to the bed properly. This is a wonderful feature to have for peace of mind, especially if you're breastfeeding and require frequent night feeds.
The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to be compatible with any bed that is divan-based as well as beds with drawers due to the telescopic legs. It has a tilting feature for babies with reflux, as well as an option to rock to ease them into sleep after a feeding. It's also extremely large and has great ventilation due to its mesh sides.
Our test participants found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, although it comes with an extensive instruction manual. It's designed to be a sleep-co-sleeping bassinet that will attach securely to your bed and convert into a stylish cot once your baby is ready, it's ideal for feeding your baby at night and fostering a bond with your newborn.
The Shnuggle Air crib is designed to breathe, unlike some other models. The mesh side panels with dual-view and airflow mattress that is hypoallergenic and breathable maximize airflow and keep your baby comfortable and cool. The gentle slope can help ease reflux and colic. The zipper-down side lets you to feed your baby or soothe them during the night.
The kit for conversion to cot is also well-designed with clear instructions. It includes everything you require. It took us about an hour to construct and was surprisingly simple. The only downside was the lack of captions written on a few of the images which made it difficult to follow certain steps.
